King Hing Building

King Hing Building

I've created an installation inspired by my personal experience visiting the King Hung Building, a unique structure. This building is a bustling hub in the heart of Mong Kok, Hong Kong, where both sex workers ply their trade, residents live, and even a badminton shop operates. This building is Infamous for its association with the sex trade. My piece reflects on my own encounters and observations within this complex environment.

Drawing on my visit to the King Hing building, I blend traditional ink outlines with digital colouring to create this short animation. Projecting it onto a decorated door frame, viewers become visitors, peeking into the lives of others. Explore this mysterious building from my perspective.
